Was It Easier Being a Mother in 1908? | Reproductive Justice and Gender | AlterNet

Happy Mother's Day to all you hardworking moms. Let's thank our mothers and all of those who came before.

Let's also thank the inventors of the washing machine, vacuum cleaner, and Internet.

Just found my way to your blog. . . . and cannot wait to read your new book. I am the mother of a one year old boy and I think I could safely say there has never been an "easier" time for mothers. It's freakin' hard!

There is so much competition among moms. Whoever has it the hardest wins. Now, we are competing with women who are deceased and can't give their two cents. Sigh.
