Alice Coltrane's Journey In Satchidananda

“Direct inspiration for ‘Journey In Satchidananda’ comes from my meeting and association with someone who is near and dear to me. I am speaking of my own beloved spiritual preceptor, Swami Satchidananda. Swamiji is the first example I have seen in recent years of Universal Love or God in action. He expresses an impersonal love which encompasses thousands of people. Anyone listening to this selection should try to envision himself floating on an ocean of Satchidanandaji’s love, which is literally carrying countless devotees across the vicissitudes and stormy blasts of life to the other shore. Satchidananda means knowledge, existence, bliss."
Alice Coltrane -- Journey In Satchidananda
One of my all time favorites--Alice and her husband John Coltrane remind me in many ways of John and Yoko. Two powerful artists, together. Searching for a higher plane.

How did I miss this post? I agree, I could listen to this album day and night. good stuff. good stuff indeed.
Alice Coltrane graduated from high school with a scholarship to the Detroit Institute of Technology; however, her musical achievements began to echo throughout the city, to the extent that she played in many music halls, choirs and churches, for various occasions as weddings, funerals, and religious programs. This explains why she is so talented at what she does.

We shouldn't be blind followers of the self styled cult gurus as more and more accidental news keep pouring in from different corners of the world, especially from India.
Really good album in my opinion
Seek thy god. Know thy god. Taste thy god. These are very essential things which need to be answered before we get to our god who cannot be a, b, c or d. He is one and only. For sure your god cannot be different from mine.
Big and interesting trip !
This is so true... we really need more love in these troubled times
