Jackson Needs To Blame Media, Not Barack Obama For Neglecting Issues Facing Blacks

Found this list interesting in light of the constant questions about whether Obama is black enough.

Actually JJ is supporting Obama. I think that post was a bit outdated?

There are a gazillion mixed messages going on in this campaign. I have found a lot of voters to be very confused...perhaps it is the media's fault. However, we as citizens have a responsibility to get the facts to make informed decision.

Wow thanks for responding!!

It just seems that we all are so caught up in these conversations (is BO black enough or too black now that most black folks are supporting him? is HC an outdated second wave relic or is she just riding in on the coattails of the patriarchy?)rather than focusing on what we have in common. Or channeling all the emotion and passion this election has generated into a collective focus on WINNING in November.

I don't think we can beat the McCain train without the second and third wave, Civil Rights leaders, post-Civil Rights multiculturalists, progressives from the Greatest Generation, baby boomers, Gen Y-ers, etc. working together.

Thanks for this post, it has been an eye-opener in terms of some of his achievements. I certainly haven't heard much of this in the mainstream media and its a criticism that I hear several persons in my personal & academic life making about Barack.

I think it speaks to our own inertia if you will, to readily accept as truth whatever is on the TV without being more vigilant in making our own decisions.

i am with you danielle--all the waves need to come together to form one mighty ocean! that's why we need a Clinton/Obama or Obama/Clinton ticket with a bunch of others that I'm too tired to name in their cabinet.

Yes, Clinton/Obama or Obama/Clinton-what a relief that would be!
