Welcome to paradise! This five day writing workshop is a great opportunity to get some good writing done and charge your mana at the same time.
We meet for five three-hour morning sesssions in a beautiful retreat setting. Writers workshop previously submitted work, and we discuss the core elements of the art of memoir. Over the five days, I will meet each participant once, and one day, a literary agent will come talk about the state of the publishing industry, and how writers should approach publishing now.

Come to Barcelona this summer for an eight-day intensive writing workshop.
Workshop includes eight three-hour workshops, and two private sessions--one early on to discuss your writing goals, and one at the end, to reflect on how to proceed. In addition to issues of genre, marketability and locating your work in the marketplace, the workshop will cover the aspects of voice, theme, and structure in the art of memoir.
Students will have an opportunity to meet one on one with an agent, and attend a workshop on how to pitch books and shorter, magazine pieces to agents and editors. Readings will include selections from Baldwin, Welty, Duras, Gates, Radzewill, bandele, Gornick, Marcus Aurelius, and others.
